On a daily basis the clients we see that get rejected for a settlement visa are the people who decide to do the process alone without the help of an agent which for them can be a costly exercise and soul destroying and it is mainly due to submitting the wrong documentation or not enough it is a very difficult process and because you are engaged does not mean you are given the visa automatically.
We start the process by contacting your Thai partner to explain the process and make sure they are also happy with the system if your partner feels comfortable then the Thai staff commence advising your partner about the paperwork required from her side of the application it does not matter were in Thailand your partner is we can control the application without your partner having to travel to Pattaya with there paperwork we have numerous clients from the North and South of Thailand and we don’t expect them to have a long tiring bus ride to hand us there paperwork.
When we have cleared with your partner, we can then e-mail or fax a list of documents required from yourself for the application, once you have completed your documents you can post direct to our office via registered post and we normally receive them within 5 working days.
We then arrange for your partner to have an x-ray for T.B., the requirement for anybody staying in the U.K. for a period more than six months has to have an x-ray at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Bangkok, we book the appointment for your partner and chauffeur them to register and have the x-ray and then obtain the certificate which is needed for the application, we normally obtain the certificate in one day without staying in Bangkok.
We then collate all the documents making sure that everything the Embassy wishes to see is in the application and that it is presented in a professional way.
We then take the application to Bangkok and submit the application the Embassy it takes approximately 5-12 working days to make a decision and we then collect the application on your partner’s behalf including the passport and visa and documentation originally submitted.
When your partner is awarded the settlement visa it is automatically for a six month period which means that your intention is to marry your partner in the U.K. once you are married in the U.K. they can extend there visa in the U.K. for a further two years without returning to Thailand , after the two years the visa can be extended in the U.K. without returning back to Thailand and they should be given a more permanent visa.
Our company fee is 50,000 Thai baht which is fully inclusive of the (IOM) x-ray, change of passport if needed, translations, presentation, submitting the application and collecting the application when the decision is made, we have a company policy which states that if we fail to obtain the visa we refund you the money back with no catches and as a business man I don’t want to give you back your money we want to obtain the visa for you.
